Sempra Generation 10MW Photovoltaic System to be built by First Solar

 In recent news First Solar will build a 10MW Photovoltaic system power plant for Sempra Generation outside Boulder City, Nevada and is expected to be completed by the end of 2008. 

While all moves towards solar energy are great, I personally still see most of these plants as a huge waste of space! When you look at the millions of homes in Clark County, Nevada - Las Vegas - Henderson and Boulder City, we have a tremendous amount of wasted space, I.E. roof tops that could be put to better use.

Yet Nevada state law makes it illegal for the home owner to rent renewable energy systems.
