Wind power is gaining strength around the world, yet most people still prefer the not in my backyard approach.
While it only produces about 1.5% of the world-wide electrical generation capacity it is poised to grow and will become crucial in meeting the demands of an ever power hungry world.
Today we have large scale wind farms to small residential units, with both sharing the same dilemma to many they are an eyesore to others a thing of beauty.
The biggest drawback to this form of energy is that it requires wind, just like solar requires sun light. We will need to develop storage units that are efficient to store the power for later use.
