Solar Energy
Man has been able to harness the power of Solar Energy for quite some time now. From providing heating to generating electrical power.
While we would like to think of solar energy as a renewable source, I think that is a bit misleading.
The sun formed about 4.57 billion years ago with a little over 5 billion years of life left as we know it. As it continues to consume it’s fuel it will eventually grow to a red giant and eventually end up as a white dwarf.
With over 5 billion years to go I don’t think we’ll have to worry about re-fueling it. Mankind will have probably disappeared long before that.
Yet, we will be able to harness this energy and generate solar power from it long into the future.
