What Is Alternative Energy
When you see the term in the news or on the web “Alternative Energy” it means something different to everyone depending on their ideology. First we really need to break this statement down.
Alternative: In its simplest form means “available as another choice.”
Energy: Power derived from the utilization of physical or chemical resources.
Yet, as previously stated depending on one’s ideology people today imply that it means energy that does not use up natural resouces. This is where it appears they are wrong.
Many forms of energy has an alternative form that could be utilized. We can and should find alternatives to carbon based fuels like Oil, Coal and Natual Gas.
These alternatives include, Biomass Energy, Wind Energy, Solar Energy, Geothermal Energy, Hydroelectric Energy, and Hydrogen.
